Felipe Ehrenberg
Nasceu em Tlacopac, México, 1943.
Ehrenberg se tornou se pintor, escultor
e gravurista sob a tutela de mestres como Matthías Goeritz e José
Chávez Morado. Artista, cronista, arquivista, professor, político,
diplomata, editor, ator, organizador, viajante incansável foi fundador da prestigiosa editora Beau
Geste Press e co-participante do movimento Fluxus durante sua
permanência na Inglaterra (1968-1976), o artista lidou com questões
essenciais da pós-modernidade, relacionadas com a construção da
identidade nacional. Questionou o sistema de informação, burocrático e
institucional, e, acima de tudo, a imagem de seu próprio país.

Ehrenberg became a painter, sculptor and
printmaker under the tutelage of masters like Matthías Goeritz and José
Chávez Morado. Photographer, chronicler, archivist, teacher,
politician, diplomat, editor, actor, organizer, tireless traveler, he is
a neologista: a living work of art. Founder of the prestigious
publisher Beau Geste Press and co-participant in the Fluxus movement
during his stay in England (1968-1976), the artist deals with key issues
of postmodernity, related to the construction of national identity.
Questions the information system, bureaucratic and institutional, and,
above all, the image of his own country.
